Application Requirements and Deadlines for the AuD Program
The application deadline for our Doctor of Audiology program for Fall admission is February 1.
A grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) is considered the minimum for entry. Particular attention is given to grades in courses within the discipline acquired in the undergraduate curriculum or in prerequisite study. Students who do not meet the minimal criteria may be accepted with provisional status and must achieve B grades in all courses during the first semester in the program prior to matriculation as a degree candidate.
Course-by-course evaluation: All graduate applicants with undergraduate-level work completed outside of the United States will be required to send a course-by-course evaluation of their academic work prepared by a NACES member organization. Adelphi recommends you use or (discount provided for Adelphi applicants), , or , but any evaluation would be acceptable.
Applicants whose native language is not English are required to complete a separate admissions application and to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) (minimum score 550 pen and paper / 213 computer-based / 80 internet-based test).

The New York Doctor of Audiology Consortium program of study consists of a minimum of 84 semester credit hours of coursework and a minimum of 1,820 direct clinical hours of practicum. The program is a total of four years full time. During the first three years of the program, students take academic and clinical courses. A clinical research project proposal is completed in year three. During the fourth year of the program, students complete a full-time clinical externship.
With a Doctor of Audiology (AuD), you can become a licensed audiologist and work with a wide age range of patients, in a variety of settings, including:

In the United States, you must earn a Doctor of Audiology (AuD), as well as ASHA certification and state licensure, to become an audiologist. The unique consortium program sets you up for success and streamlines the process to get you on the job market sooner.
The New York Doctor of Audiology Consortium is a collaborative clinical doctoral program in audiology among ³ÉÈ˶¯ÂþÍøÕ¾, Hofstra University and St. John’s University.
Students enrolled in the program take classes and complete clinical training across all three campuses. The benefits of the collaborative doctoral clinical program include shared faculty, facilities and clinical sites in New York.
Because of the exceptional, hands-on experiences made possible by the consortium, the program is offered in person only and cannot be completed online. Students rotate across the consortium campuses: Adelphi in Garden City and Hofstra in Hempstead, both on Long Island, and St. John’s University, in the nearby New York City borough of Queens.
