The SPARK Center鈥攚hich stands for Scholars Pursuing Arts, Research and Knowledge鈥攑uts out the welcome mat for undergraduates to immerse themselves in the exciting world of research and creative work from day one. Learn what research entails and how to find a faculty mentor, connect with scholarly and creative opportunities, and get training on how to present, perform or publish your work.

Feeling innovative? Make the Innovation Center a regular destination. A home for hands-on collaboration and interdisciplinary activity, the Innovation Center, located in the Swirbul Library, lets students explore new ideas and cutting-edge technology with the guidance of expert faculty and industry professionals.

Adelphi鈥檚 PATH Forward: A New Vision for General Education

In our 2025 Academic & Creative Research Magazine, we probe the profound economic cost of health disparities and the financial boon that could come from healthier lifestyles. From faculty research showing that premature deaths from modifiable risk factors account for $400 billion in annual economic loss to a study demonstrating that meeting national youth sports goals could yield $80 billion in savings, it is clear that health and wealth are inextricably connected.

Beyond our cover story, dive into fascinating faculty research on topics such as using machine learning to understand how climate change affects birdsong, how practicing without helmets might make football safer, and whether facial recognition, now so ubiquitous in our lives, infringes on civil liberties. Our Faculty Arts Gallery showcases incredible art created by Adelphi faculty, from paintings and sculptures to orchestral productions and dance performances.
