Bharat Bhis茅, MBA 鈥�78 and Swati Bhis茅
Bharat Bhis茅, MBA 鈥�78 and Swati Bhis茅, strongly believes that students must have a global perspective to succeed in today鈥檚 world. That鈥檚 why they established the Bhis茅 Global Learning Experience, a program that sends a select group of Adelphi undergraduates to India for a 10-day, faculty-led study tour exploring the country鈥檚 economy, politics and culture. They also brought the experience to campus by creating the Bhis茅 Center for Global Understanding, a multidisciplinary initiative bringing speakers and artists to Adelphi and funding faculty research.
LeeAnn Black 鈥�83 and Jeffrey Black
A gift from LeeAnn Black 鈥�83 and Jeffrey Black, along with support from other donors, helped expand Adelphi鈥檚 Women鈥檚 Leadership Conference. One of the University鈥檚 signature events, the annual conference provides students with career-building insights, connections and encouragement.
Carole Katz-Fetner 鈥�68
Carole Katz-Fetner 鈥�68 built a career as a writer, educator and executive on the English degree she received at Adelphi. The Endowment for Experiential Learning she created in her name will help the Department of English fund transformative hands-on learning experiences for majors.
