{"id":1320,"date":"2026-05-27T08:36:14","date_gmt":"2026-05-27T12:36:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/provost\/state-licensure-disclosures\/student-location-policy\/"},"modified":"2026-05-27T11:57:22","modified_gmt":"2026-05-27T15:57:22","slug":"student-location","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/provost\/state-licensure-disclosures\/student-location\/","title":{"rendered":"Student Location"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span>For purposes of this policy, \u201cstudent location\u201d is separate from residency classification for financial aid purposes.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Determination of Student Location at Initial Enrollment<\/h2>\n<p><span>A student\u2019s location is determined at the time of initial enrollment in an academic program based on the student\u2019s permanent\/legal address maintained in the University\u2019s student information system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>A student will be considered located in New York State if any of the following conditions apply at the time of initial enrollment:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>The student resides in University-sponsored housing;<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>The student is enrolled exclusively in on-campus coursework during the initial term of enrollment;<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>The student\u2019s permanent\/legal address on file with the University is located in New York State; or<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>The student\u2019s permanent\/legal address is outside of the United States or its territories.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span>If none of the above conditions apply, the student\u2019s location will be determined based on the U.S. state or territory associated with the student\u2019s permanent\/legal address on file with the University.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>For purposes of this policy, initial enrollment refers to the student\u2019s first term of enrollment in a specific academic program.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Changes in Student Location<\/h2>\n<p><span>Students are responsible for maintaining an accurate and current permanent\/legal address with the University.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Students who relocate to another state or territory must update their permanent\/legal address through the University\u2019s official student information system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>A change in student location becomes effective on the date the updated address is processed and reflected in the University\u2019s student information system.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Professional Licensure and Certification Disclosures<\/h2>\n<p><span>成人动漫网站 maintains professional licensure and certification disclosures for applicable academic programs on its <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/provost\/state-licensure-disclosures\/\"><span>State Licensure and Certification Disclosures<\/span><\/a><span> webpage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>If a student enrolled in a program leading to professional licensure or certification changes their location to a state or territory where the program does not meet educational requirements for licensure or certification, 成人动漫网站 will provide the student with any disclosures required under applicable federal regulations and NC-SARA policies.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Prepared by<\/h2>\n<p><span>Shawana Singletary, assistant vice president and chief enrollment officer<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For purposes of this policy, \u201cstudent location\u201d is separate from residency classification for financial aid purposes.
